This full-time 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice gig at AGM Automation in Perth is a ripper opportunity for a switched-on apprentice who wants to finish their ticket on automatic gates, sliding/swing systems, intercoms, hydraulics and access control. You’ll be out on jobs all over Perth doing installs, repairs, fault-finding and basic welding/fabrication, plus plenty of in-house custom steel work and running the Hiab crane truck. Pay is $30–$35/hr (approx. $75,000–$88,000/year on 45–50 hrs), fully maintained work ute after probation, phone, uniform, TAFE fees paid, and regular OT at penalty rates. Monday–Friday + half-day Saturday most weeks. Perfect for a 3rd-year sparkie who loves variety, being outdoors, and working with their hands.

Responsibilities
- Install and commission automatic gate systems.
- Fault-find and repair motors, loops, intercoms.
- Run conduit, wire control boards, safety beams.
- Basic MIG welding and steel fab in-house.
- Load/unload and crane materials with Hiab.
- Service calls all over Perth metro.
- Keep job cards and photos updated.
Requirements
Education
Currently in 3rd year of electrical apprenticeship.
Experience
At least 2 years on tools, any gate/automation experience is gold.
Qualifications
- WA A-grade electrical apprentice.
- Manual driver’s licence (HR or Hiab ticket a bonus).
- White Card.
Skills
- Neat wiring and terminations.
- Safe and tidy on site.
- Willing to weld and fab.
- Good with customers.
- Reliable every single day.
Knowledge
