Key Responsibilities
- Maintain quality assurance processes by conducting inspections of incoming materials and finished products
- Perform testing using measuring tools and document incoming results accurately in the database
- Analyze results to identify non conforming material and assist with corrective actions and root cause analysis
- Conduct component cosmetics and functional inspections based on product development specifications and drawings
- Maintain inspection guidelines and records for assigned quality control functions including IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC, and ECOM
- Perform hardware modification and rework for Advantech and locally fabricated products as needed
- Inform the Quality Control Manager immediately if any product specification discrepancies occur
- Complete any other projects and tasks assigned by management
Qualifications
Two years of college or an AA certification is required, or alternatively two or more years of electronic or computer related work experience. You must be proficient in MS OS installation and troubleshooting. Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is expected. You need to be detail oriented. Familiarity or working familiarity with computer hardware inspection and quality control guidelines is essential. This position requires eligibility under US Government export regulations; you must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual. No degree is explicitly required beyond the AA or equivalent experience. You should have good communication skills and the ability to work onsite in Ottawa, Illinois. Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment is a plus.

This full time onsite position pays an hourly wage of USD 17 to USD 19, which translates to an annual salary of approximately USD 35,000 to USD 40,000 based on a forty hour week.
