Key Responsibilities
- Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of production floors, walls, drains, and ceilings using high pressure hoses and foaming units.
- Clean production equipment and machinery according to standard operating procedures to eliminate protein, fat, and blood residues.
- Follow strict hygiene and food safety protocols to ensure all surfaces meet regulatory sanitation standards.
- Empty garbage bins, service restrooms, and wipe down communal surfaces throughout the facility.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, ensuring proper dilution, labelling, storage, and handling at all times.
- Comply with site specific health and safety requirements including lock out tag out procedures when cleaning around machinery.
- Identify and report any necessary repairs to the cleaning and sanitation supervisor and tackle heavy cleaning tasks as needed.
What You Need to Qualify
A high level of motivation and the ability to work independently is essential. You must have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Physical stamina is required to perform repetitive tasks including bending, pushing, and lifting.
