Key Responsibilities
- Perform high quality welding and fabrication on marine vessels and structures including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various welding procedures and techniques, handling different types of welding with ease.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, reporting any defects immediately.
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools, keeping everything in good working order.

- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment at all times in the industrial environment.
What You Need to Qualify
A minimum of two years of industry experience demonstrating strong adaptability in various work environments is required. You must be a certified boilermaker holding a recognised trade qualification. A strong work ethic with the ability to work 40 or more hours per week is essential. You need a strong understanding of safety protocols and PPE requirements in an industrial environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a team are expected. Previous experience using hand tools or power tools is required. You must possess an OHS Construction Induction White Card. A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is required.
