Key Responsibilities
- Interpret process routing and engineering drawings to carry out general processes within deadlines, including shot peening, bead blasting, coating, phosphating, painting, packing, stamping, pressure testing, and make and break tasks.
- Ensure process routing and production records are filled, signed, and scanned in and out accordingly for accurate tracking.
- Ensure equipment and fixtures are set up correctly and that daily maintenance is carried out as per the checklist.
- Ensure that the workplace is clean and that dust, beads, and chemicals are disposed of properly and safely.
- Perform material handling tasks, moving parts and supplies to and from workstations as needed.
- Update the supervisor on job status and any non conformances or issues encountered during processing.
- Support the Production or Manufacturing Coordinator on fixture preparation, masking tasks, and bead blasting operations.
What You Need to Qualify
Previous experience as a general worker in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred but not required, as training may be provided. You must be willing to learn various processes including shot peening, bead blasting, coating, and pressure testing. Physical fitness for standing, lifting, and handling chemicals or abrasive materials is essential. A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness are required. You must be willing to work rotating shifts including day shift from Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm, or night shift from Monday to Friday 8pm to 6am which includes one hour of overtime. No degree is required. You must have a valid Singapore work visa or be a citizen or permanent resident.
Salary and Benefits
The basic salary range for this General Worker position is 1,600 to 2,500 Singapore dollars per month based on experience. In addition, you will receive a transport allowance. Overtime pay is provided for hours beyond the standard shift. For night shift workers, an additional 12 dollars per night shift plus 3 dollars per night shift is provided. Day shift hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm. Night shift hours are Monday to Friday 8pm to 6am including one hour of overtime. You will also receive annual leave and medical benefits as required by Singapore law. A safe and clean workplace is maintained at all times.
