Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload multi shipment loads from trucks and trailers using electric pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move freight around the warehouse, staging products for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Verify shipping documents against physical freight, noting any discrepancies or damage and reporting to supervisors.
- Organise warehouse storage areas to maximise space and ensure easy access to frequently shipped items.
- Work varying shifts as assigned, adapting to changing workload demands and delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols for equipment operation and material handling.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and drivers to ensure timely loading and unloading of carrier shipments.
What You Need to Qualify
At least one year of warehouse experience is required. You must have experience with electric pallet jacks and forklifts. Previous experience working for a carrier would be an asset. You need reliable transportation because there is no bus service to the Deacons Corner location. You must be able to reliably commute to Navin, Manitoba or plan to relocate before starting work. You must answer yes to having forklift experience and to living in Winnipeg or being willing to relocate. Physical fitness for lifting, standing, bending, and operating equipment for full shifts is essential. A strong attention to detail and safety mindset are critical. No degree is required. You must be legally authorised to work in Canada.
Pay Rate and Benefits
The hourly pay rate starts from 18.25 Canadian dollars per hour. Expected hours are 40 per week, making this a full time position.
