Job Title
Electronic Technician – Tactical Air Defence Radar System (TADRS)
Responsibilities
- Construct & test electrical, data & RF cables per schematics
- Integrate hardware, electronic, mechanical & optical equipment
- Perform alignment, adjustment & production testing with complex test gear
- Troubleshoot, repair & replace faulty repairable items (RI’s)
- Use hand/power tools, measuring & testing devices
- Identify production efficiencies & communicate to supervisors
- Support additional duties as required
Requirements
Qualifications
- Certificate III or above in Communications/Electronics (or equivalent experience)
- Australian citizenship (mandatory for Defence Security Clearance)
Experience
Hands-on experience in electronics production, maintenance & repair
Skills
- Proficient reading technical documents & solving system problems
- Expert soldering & repair hand skills
- Strong accountability for parts/equipment & documentation
- Understanding of Configuration Management & Quality Assurance (desirable)
