Key Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and machinery safely at all times following established procedures.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to achieve code standards for weld testing.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately before starting any fabrication task.
- Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards, inspecting each finished piece for defects or weaknesses.
- Collaborate with team members, other departments, and project managers to complete assignments on time.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, returning tools and equipment to their proper storage after each shift.
