Job Title

Union Welder – Local & Rotational (SMAW / FCAW)

Responsibilities

• All-position SMAW & FCAW on structural, piles, marine, industrial
• Work local Victoria/Lower Mainland or fly-in rotational projects
• Tie rebar cages, weld H-piles, repair heavy equipment
• Rigging & burning as needed
• Keep weld logs & pass third-party CWB inspection every time

Requirements

Education

Current SMAW + FCAW tickets (CWB or equivalent)

Experience

All levels – from fresh tickets to 20-year veterans

Qualifications

• Legal to work in Canada
• Fall Protection, AWP, Confined Space big bonuses
• Clean D&A test for certain sites (they pay for it)

Skills

• Burn perfect 7018 root & flux-core fill in any position
• Read structural & iso drawings
• Work safe in marine, heights, heavy civil environments

Knowledge

• T-Class, pressure, aluminum = instant top rate
• Pile driving or underwater = call-back for life

Applicant Location

Local preferred (Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver, Lower Mainland) but will fly anyone with the right tickets for rotational work.
