Key Responsibilities
- Use MIG, TIG, stick, and other welding techniques to join, fabricate, and repair metal components according to project specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols to determine the appropriate techniques for each task
- Cut and align metal materials before welding, ensuring proper fit and finish for structural integrity
- Fabricate and weld structural components, pipes, beams, and other items as needed, adhering to quality standards
- Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet company and industry standards, making adjustments to prevent defects
- Set up and operate welding machines, hand tools, and power tools required to complete jobs safely
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and perform repairs on metal structures as needed

Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. You must have completed a technical school welding program. Ability to attend and pass a third party welding test through Phoenix National Laboratories is mandatory. Two to five years of welding experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is needed. A relevant welding certification is required. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, arc, and stick welding is essential. Experience with fabrication tools including grinders, drills, and saws is expected. You must be able to read engineering blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Strong hand eye coordination, attention to detail, organization, and time management skills are necessary.
