Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, offices, toilets, and dining areas thoroughly.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Use commercial cleaning products safely and effectively.
• Operate floor buffers and high-pressure hoses with skill.
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure a healthy environment.
• Keep accurate records of completed cleaning tasks.
• Store cleaning materials and equipment securely after use.
• Report safety, security, or damage issues to the manager promptly.
• Liaise with the Stores Officer for cleaning supply needs.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work area daily.
• Adhere to Queensland Government’s safety and hygiene policies.
• Support cultural inclusivity in line with the Human Rights Act 2019.
• Work rostered day shifts with flexibility as needed.
• Assist with deep cleaning during scheduled maintenance.

Requirements

Education

High school certificate or equivalent preferred.

Experience

1–2 years in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred.
