Fabrication Welder

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints.
• Operate manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding equipment.
• Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components.
• Determine weldability of materials like stainless steel and heavy metals.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
• Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces.
• Use measuring tools like gauges for precision.

Requirements

Education

Trades certificate or diploma in welding.

Experience
