Job Title

Farmhand – Smart Farms (Agricultural Operations & Research Support)

Responsibilities

  • Operate, adjust & calibrate plant/equipment (fertiliser, tillage, specialist research tools)
  • Undertake land prep, irrigation install/operation, planting, harvesting & chemical application
  • Monitor & report weather, soil & seasonal conditions
  • Identify weeds/parasites & collaborate on control methods
  • Maintain records using Ag Commander/Chemwatch systems
  • Perform basic machinery servicing & property upkeep
  • Work safely following WHS legislation & DPI Code of Conduct

Requirements

Education

High school or equivalent

Experience

Any farming/cropping or machinery operation (preferred – training provided)

Qualifications

  • Current C Class driver’s licence
  • Willing to obtain Chemcert & other tickets within 12–24 months

Skills

  • Physically fit for manual & outdoor work
  • Attention to detail & safety focus
