Job Title

Heavy Diesel Field & Workshop Mechanic – Open-Cut Coal (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik)

Responsibilities

• Service, breakdown & component change-outs on 793–797 trucks, D11 dozers, 6060 excavators
• Diagnostic work with CAT ET/SIS, Komatsu VHMS, Hitachi Dr.EX
• Hydraulic, engine, transmission, electrical fault-finding
• Scheduled servicing & major repairs in pit or workshop
• Keep immaculate service records in SAP

Requirements

Qualifications

• NZ or Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel/Plant Mechanic trade certificate
• Current manual driver’s licence

Experience

Big open-cut mining equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr)

Bonus

• High-risk forklift, EWP, working at heights
• Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (they’ll pay if you don’t have)
