Key Responsibilities

  1. Promote safety by taking an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA, MSHA, and Vulcan standards.
  2. Operate batch plant equipment to regulate the flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, or storage bins.
  3. Maintain responsibility for starting up, batching, and shutting down the batch plant on a daily basis.
  4. Assist quality control and drivers to ensure quality material is being produced, inspecting equipment, structures, and materials.
  5. Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment, documenting items in need of repair or service.
  6. Work closely with co workers and dispatch to batch concrete in a timely and quality manner, monitoring raw materials to ensure sufficient inventory levels.
