Asahi Beverages (Schweppes, Pepsi, Cool Ridge, Asahi beer) is hiring a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter for their high-speed Papakura plant – keep the bottling, canning and packaging lines for NZ’s favourite drinks running 24/5 on a rotating 12-hour shift roster while earning $45–$55/hr flat (real $120k–$160k+ year with built-in OT & shift allowances) + full medical/dental, life insurance, product allowance, subsidised canteen, free parking, and genuine career path to Leading Hand or Reliability Engineer. Job Title

Maintenance Fitter – 12-Hour Rotating Shift (High-Speed Bottling & Canning)

Responsibilities

• Breakdown response & preventative maintenance on fillers, labellers, palletisers
• Fault-find mechanical, pneumatic & basic electrical issues
• Rebuild gearboxes, pumps, valves, conveyors
• Support line changeovers & improvement projects
• Coach operators on basic maintenance
• Keep perfect records in MEX CMMS

Requirements

Qualifications

• NZ/AU trade certificate – Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Engineering
• Current full driver’s licence

Experience

FMCG/food/beverage maintenance (high-speed packaging ideal)

Skills

• Diagnose & fix fast under production pressure
• Read mechanical drawings & schematics
• Basic welding & fabrication a bonus
