Responsibilities

• Crank up machines like CNC mills, lathes, or presses to nail production targets.
• Swap setups between runs to keep the shop humming smoothly.
• Measure parts against blueprints to ensure they’re bang-on perfect.
• Flag safety or quality hiccups to the team lead or supervisor pronto.
• Keep the shop floor spick-and-span, sticking to safety standards.
• Run forklifts or cranes with training to move gear safely.
• Prep sintering furnace setups, scrubbing plugs and trays for action.
• Test sintered parts for metallurgical specs like Hc and MS.
• Log production details, from good parts to scrap, with precision.
• Write up non-conformance reports and pitch fixes for off-spec parts.
• Lend a hand across the plant to keep things rolling.
• Stick to trained methods to hit quality and efficiency marks.
• Show up for shop talks and safety briefings to stay in the loop.
• Hoist up to 30 lbs. to tackle daily tasks with ease.

Requirements

Education

Completion of Grade 11 or equivalent shop floor experience is required. Extra training in machining or mechanics is a bonus.

Experience
